INAUGURAL state of black bookstore report
We are proud to release the inaugural State of the Black Bookstore Report — the first comprehensive national report specifically capturing the landscape, challenges, and opportunities facing Black-owned bookstores.
Until now, there has not been a singular, data-driven report dedicated exclusively to understanding the state of Black bookstores in the United States. This report changes that.
This report is just the beginning. It captures the current landscape and sets the stage for more robust, annual reporting in the years ahead.
